Wales - Introducing the regional co-ordinator
Debbie Morgan
Debbie's career began 25 years ago as a YTS dental surgery assistant in a two-surgery practice. In 2003 her husband bought a new practice and she assumed the role of pratice manager running their three NHS practices. What a difference to nursing! Debbie joined the BDPMA four years ago seeking the right direction for herself and the business.
Debbie is now in the process of converting two of the practices to Denplan and has undertaken a journey towards Investors in People accreditation later this year. Although very busy she acknowledges her wonderful team who support her to run the business very effeciently.
Debbie is married to Keith and has three fantastic children and a beautiful nine-month old grandson who lives with her along with two dogs, two cats, a rabbit, hamsters and a horse! She enjoys running to clear her mind and has run three marathons, eight half marathons and unlimited 10 KMs - some of which her team members have pushed her round so they keep each other motivated and have raised lot of money for charity.
Debbie is keen to get the Welsh region to take off as she believes there are different issues to deal with due to a different government WAG. She still has an NHS practice to manage so she maintains the same issues as many other managers and feels that more heads are better than one.
Debbie believes that joining the Association gives managers the help and encouragement needed to achieve succeess.
