Teresa Witchell - Chairman
Teresa has been involved in dentistry since 1971 when she began working at The Bank Cottage Dental Practice as a trainee receptionist. She was thrown in at the deep end on her first day when the dental nurse was off sick and following 28 years of dental nursing, she took a BTEC Certificate in Management Studies and became the practice manager in 1999. Around the same time as her promotion, Teresa joined the BDPMA and discovered a wealth of support and new contacts. Following her appointment as Assistant Events Co-ordinator, Teresa went on to assume the role of Vice Chairman and in 2008 became the Association's Chairman. Teresa is currently a member of a number of advisory boards in the UK where she represents the views of her profession and the Association and when time allows, she enjoys wining and dining, hot air ballooning, and making greeting cards and wedding invitations.

Bridget Crump - Development Director

Since 1990 Bridget has been increasingly active in promoting excellence in dental practice management. Beginning as a tutor and co-ordinator for a local receptionist training course, Bridget’s leadership and management skills have and are being utilised by a wide range of organisations and dental practices. Having stepped down as chairman of the BDPMA in 2008 after five years, Bridget has accepted a new role as the Association's Development Director and is focused on building strategic partnerships with key industry organisations. While doing all this Bridget still enjoys her role as Practice Development Manager for Chris Smirthwaite at the Smile Centre in Cornwall..

Having gained an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice at the Central School of Speech and Drama, London, he co-owns Outlaw Theatre Company www.outlaw-theatre.com, for which he writes, performs and produces. Amelia Bray - Treasurer
Amelia joined the industry as a dental nurse back in 1994, having previously worked in veterinary & chiropractic clinics. In 2000 she assisted her boss (now husband) to relocate the dental practice from a town centre premises to a converted barn in the middle of an apple orchard in the Tamar Valley, and at this point assumed the role of practice manager.

Amelia completed the Diploma in Professional Practice Management in 2004 and has been involved with the BDPMA since 2000, starting out as Treasurer of the Devon & Cornwall Region before joining the National Executive as Assistant Secretary, then Secretary and now Treasurer.

Away from work she’s a busy mum & step-mum who enjoys cake making & decorating, watching the mighty Green Army (that's Plymouth Argyle to the uninitiated!) and relaxing on her old Looe fishing boat with a gin and tonic!

Vikki Harper- Marketing Co-ordinator
Vikki Harper is based in rural Nottinghamshire and has lived in the UK since 1988 after leaving Australia for pastures new.

She left corporate life several years ago after holding various senior positions in marketing, commercial and project management capacities to set up on her own as a freelance copywriter and marketing consultant.

Vicky has been increasingly involved with the BDPMA over the last year and has now been formally co-opted as Partnership Co-ordinator, responsible for developing trade partnerships and member relations.

Vicky has two young children who constantly demand her time but when she does escape, she enjoys running, reading and red wine. One of her key achievements last year was to complete her first 10k cross country run.

Denise Simpson, Head Office Administrator
Denise is the first point of contact for callers and visitors to the BDPMA office.  Not only is she the voice at the end of the telephone line, but she co-ordinates the Association’s administrative function at the busy BDPMA office.  Denise is very customer focussed and pleased to provide whatever help and support members and visitors require.
